Our Spiritual Education Program is divided into 5 age groups, Nursery (infant to age 2/3), Sunflowers age 3 to Grade One), Holy Cows (Grade 2 - 5 ), Barn Kids (Grade 6 - 8) and Youth (Grades 9 to age 19)

Nursery - While you enjoy the morning service, your child will be minded by one of our member volunteers. While there is no curriculum for this age group, it can be a nice break for Mom and/or Dad.

Sunflowers - This year the Sunflower class is following the Chalice Children curriculum. Currently our theme is "Making Positive Changes", and we are discussing healthy personal habits (eating and exercise), developing postive attitude and caring for others.

Holy Cows - The Holy Cows (Grades 2 - 5) will be following the Spirit Play Curriculum. This program takes stories various wolrd religions, which are told by the teacher using an interative story-telling kit. The stories are then discussed and the Unitarian principle in illustrated by each story is explored. | Barn Kids - The Barn Kids are exploring the relationship between Science and Spirituality this year. Many members of our congregation are scientists with expertise in areas such as geology, energy, the environment and much more. The program begins in February with an exploration of what fossils might mean for us, in a spiritual sense. More detailed information will become available on the Calendar as the program develops. |
