Pathway and Social Housing in the GTA Current Situation and Future Prospects

In partnership with Solel Synagogue and the Streetsville United Church, our congregation founded and manages Pathway Non-Profit Community Developments, the largest non-profit, non-government affordable housing in Peel Region. Pathway President John Needham, board members Mike Smith-Loeters, John Rowell, and Pathway Community Programs co-chair Erika Lautenschlaeger will describe how Pathway operates its building projects and community programs, e.g., breakfast club, lunch bag recreation and home-work tutoring. We will also describe the current and future affordable housing situation in the GTA and explain how you can support Pathway and affordable housing in Peel.

Blue Boat Home, Intergenerational

The children and youth will present a special service based on Peter Mayer‘s song Blue Boat Home, found in the blue hymnal. During the service, they will reflect on the seventh principle, …caring for our planet Earth, the home we share with all living things. The children and youth will share with the greater community what they have learned and discussed in their SE classes and Youth group.
