SourceFire

SourceFire Pagan CircleSourceFire is the Pagan circle of UCM. It is open to Pagan members of UCM and the Pagan community at large.

We impose no dogma and encourage a free and responsible search for truth intersecting with the seven principles of Unitarianism with which we find no conflict. We are a diverse and multi-generational group that provides a community and place of worship for area Pagans and Pagan families.

We celebrate in a ritual circle monthly in the Great Hall on the third Thursdays of each month at 7:30 pm.

SourceFire Imbolc Ritual

imbolcLeaders: Cassie Rawlinson & Maxine Rawlinson
When the dark days of winter seem to have gone on forever, the first sign of spring refreshes our souls. It is a promise that winter will not last forever and that warm and fertile days will come again soon.
• Bob GaulJoin us as we celebrate Imbolc! Rejoice in the stirring earth as we plant fire seeds and join together in a ritual to awaken the dragon sleeping within the earth and ourselves.

Come along and bring a friend if you like. Feel free to bring nut free food to share and donations are welcome.

SourceFire meets in the Great Hall on the third Thursday of each month from September to June. We celebrate our UU principles and honour the earth often with poetry, readings, meditation, dance, drumming, singing and ritual. Small groups take turns planning each Ritual by sharing their talents and experiences. For more information call or email Debbi at This email address is being protected from spambots. SourceFire November Ritual - The Beaver Moon

The PastJoin us for SourceFire’s November Ritual in the Great Hall of UCM. It is the time of the Beaver Moon. Beaver is independent and industrious, and prepared for the cold times.
It is time to finish all the activity of summer, store away the last of the harvest and tie up all our loose ends in preparation for rest and reflection by the warm hearth of winter.
Winter is a time when we evolve in spirit.
Now is the time to prepare and protect ourselves so that we are ready to make the most of the depth of the dark time to come.

SourceFire Mabon - September 15th

Autumn trees by river -Unitarian Congregation in MississaugaOn September 15th at 7:30 in the Great Hall of UCM, Melissa Weale will be leading a celebration of Mabon with guest Kinana Issa, who is a Syrian writer and journalist.

It will be a time for gratitude for the harvest, as the day and night become equal. This is a ritual which is all about balance: life and death, light and dark, fire and ice. We will get a cultural insight into the similarities of earth based faiths between Syrian pre-war culture and North American Neo-Paganism.

At Mabon the darkness will conquer the light, leading us deeper into the waning year.
To celebrate there will be meditation, magick and a Syrian inspired activity! Come along and bring a friend if you like. Feel free to bring food to share and donations are welcome but not expected. See you at UCM and Blessed Be!
